On December 16, 2021, the East Los Angeles Occupational Center (ELAOC) celebrated the success of an outstanding group of students who completed the rigorous MultiCraft Core Curriculum (MC3) pre-apprenticeship training program. This was a result of a new partnership with the AntiRecidivism Coalition (ARC) and the Los Angeles/ Orange County Building Trades Council.
Zepeda and the other students, known as Cohort 13-The Dream, received 12 weeks of soft-skill training, technical education, and supportive services. Following the completion of the MC3 program, participants received assistance in finding placement in paid union apprenticeships across various trades.
ARC, founded in 2013, creates a network of support for formerly incarcerated men and women as they re-enter the workforce. For more information on ARC please visit https://antirecidivism.org/.
