Venice Skills Center (VSC) Principal Melissa McCarthy is pleased to announce that VSC has partnered with West Los Angeles College to create the adult school’s first CTE articulation agreement for the 2022-23 school year. With the support of Dental Assistant instructor Yolanda Navarro and our WLAC stakeholders, Assistant Principal Operations Elizabeth Penuela lead the work to coordinate the efforts and creation of this important Los Angeles Regional Adult Education Consortium (LARAEC) project. The articulation agreement will benefit Dental Assistant students who successfully complete the Dental Assistant 1 Class and pass the West Los Angeles College Orientation to Dental Assisting course final exam and law and ethics exam with a 70% (C grade) or better. These VSC students will be eligible to earn 2 college credits. Additionally, this articulation agreement strengthens the marketability and professional image of the VSC Dental Assistant program in our community. This articulation agreement supports our students in their educational goals and pursuits as they transition to college and enter the workforce. VSC is proud to be a partner in helping our community continue their education and get to work!
