On April 13-16, LAUSD students competed in the 56th annual SkillsUSA Leadership and Skill Conference in Ontario, California. The four-day competition tested students from throughout the state on various industrial skills including: Action Skills, Cosmetology, Information Technology Services, Welding, and many more.
Congratulations to our Division of Adult and Career Education students on overcoming rigorous competition and bringing home:

- 7 Silver medals 🏅
- 3 Bronze medals 🏅
All state contest winners will have the opportunity to compete in the SkillsUSA 56th annual National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLCS) held in Atlanta, Georgia on June 19-23, 2023!
With the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, and advisors, the number of students moving forward to the NLCS has increased 60% compared to last year.
