On December 16, 2021, as a result of a new partnership with the Anti-
Recidivism Coalition (ARC) and the Los Angeles/ Orange County
Building Trades Council, the East Los Angeles Occupational Center
(ELAOC) celebrated the success of an outstanding group of students
completing the rigorous MC3 pre-apprenticeship training program.
Albert Zepeda and the other students, known as “The Dream”
cohort, received 12 weeks of soft-skills training, technical
education, and supportive services. Following the completion
of the MC3 program, participants received assistance in finding
placement in paid union apprenticeships across their various trades.
